What we learned...
"Korihor said that when you can't know of things you can't see." (Maycee

"What Korihor was preaching against God was not against the law." (Shaylee)

"An Anti-Christ named Korihor came in and openly taught against the teachings of the church." (Brandon)


"Korihor started preaching stuff to persuade people to believe as he does such as that you cannot know of things you cannot see." (Kenyon)

"Korihor was preaching against God." (Jaron)


"Korihor couldn't understand why they would tie themselves to something they couldn't see." (Mom)

"There was no law against a person believing or not believing God and also not a law for them to preach to other to persuade them to believe their words. People were punished only for breaking the law."  (Dad)

"After a bunch of peace a guy in Zarahemla was an anti-Christ and started preaching to the people." (Kenyon)

"It was not against the law to believe in things but to act upon those beliefs can be against the law." (Shaylee)

"When we were born we were given agency and that what this is about. You can't punish someone for their belief." (Mom)

"It just as important to the righteous for the law to protect a person's right to believe because if it punished those that didn't believe what the majority of the people then it could also be used to punished the righteous for their beliefs when they are in the minority."  (Dad)

"God called Alma to a holy calling to preach the gospel." (Jaron)

"Alma's joy was so great that he felt like his body and spirit were going to separate." (Maycee & Mom)

"So many people died in the war that nobody could number them on either side." (Shaylee)

"There were so many dead from the war that they couldn't be numbered. There were too many to count." (Kenyon)

"When the people of Ammon finally got established and settled in the land of Jershon the Nephites buried their dead." (Brandon)


"Alma was full of joy because of the success the Lord gave him in preaching the gospel but he had even more joy that his brethren, the sons of Mosiah, had much success themselves. Those who have the Spirit don't get jealous or resent the success of others they rejoice in it!"  (Dad)

"Alma was questioning about himself his desire to be an angel." (Jaron)

"Alma remembers the captivity of his fathers and were delivered from bondage so they could establish His church." (Maycee & Mom

"Alma questioned himself why he wanted to be an angel when he should be happy with the way he was." (Shaylee)

"Alma realized that he could find in seeing others coming to the Lord because it reminded him of how the Lord helped him." (Brandon)

"If someone is truly converted, they will want to share the gospel with others." (Kenyon)

"Alma's greatest desire and joy was that God would use him as an instrument in bringing some soul to repentance, which reminded him of how the Lord was merciful in leading his soul to repentance."  (Dad)

"Alma wanted to be able to be an angel with a trumpet and preach repentance to everyone so they would listen to him." (Shaylee)

"Alma want to preach to the people and be an angel with a trumpet, and his wish a sin because he asking to be an angel." (Maycee

"Inequality is because of sin." (Kenyon)

"Wickedness can never bring about joy, and the opposite of joy is guilt." (Elias)

"The Nephites despite winning the war against the Lamanites were mourning because of the many losses they dealt with." (Brandon)


"Alma's wish was to be an angel." (Jaron)


"Sin is the greatest cause of inequality, and the best way to reduce inequality in the world is to be diligent in doing the Lord's work - preaching the gospel and persuading others to come unto Christ because when they accept and obey the Lord they will be greatly blessed just like the righteous."  (Dad)

"There was a great battle between the Nephites and the Lamanites and both sides lost a lot of people but the Nephites ended up winning." (Kenyon)

"The people of Ammon said that they would rather be killed in the most aggravating and distressing manner than take their swords and slay their brethren." (Shaylee)

"The Lord favors people who are obedient and honor Him." (Maycee & Brandon

"Many of the Lamanites and Nephites got killed, but more Lamanites got killed and the Nephites ended up winning in the end." (Jaron)


"Not only did the people of Ammon refused to take up weapons and go to battle again but the did abhor even the thought of killing someone. This is a sign of true repentance - you not only stop doing the sin but you abhor or hate even the very thought of it."  (Dad)

"The Nephites accepted the Ammonites by offering them the land of Jershon, which was next to the sea." (Brandon)

"The chief judge sent a proclamation to the people of Zarahemla asking them if they would let the Anti-Nephi-Lehies live among them." (Maycee

"The people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi decided to change their name to the people of Ammon." (Shaylee)

"The people in Zarahemla let in the Anti-Nephi-Lehies ." (Jaron)


"Since the Nephites were going to protect the people of Ammon they were required to help provide food and resources for the army." (Kenyon)

"The Nephites did not want to get revenge upon the Anti-Nephi-Lehies or keep them out of Zarahemla because of their sins and murders against them but instead offered to let them live among them in their own land, Jershon, and would protect them with Nephite armies. So the Nephites forgave them, which is the Christlike thing to do."  (Dad)

"Ammon’s happiness was already very excessive was raised even higher when they ran into their old friend Alma." (Kenyon)

"Ammon was so joyful when he ran into Alma that he collapsed because he was already super joyful." (Shaylee)

"Alma and the sons of Mosiah had great joy but Ammon had even more joy because he collapsed." (Maycee

"Ammon thought that when they came to Zarahemla that they should wait so he could go and test the waters with the Nephites to see if they would be fine with letting them come in." (Mom)

"The fulness of joy that Ammon had can only be experienced by those who are truly humble, repentant and seeking to follow God’s plan of happiness. The wicked and those who aren’t valiant in the gospel will never know such great joy."  (Dad)

"Ammon told the king that they should pray to the Lord to find the answer to whether they should go to the land of Zarahemla." (Shaylee)

"Ammon told the king that they should pray about the Anti-Nephi-Lehies problems." (Jaron)


"When Ammon inquired of the Lord, the Lord answered that they needed to get the Anti-Nephi-Lehies out of there as soon as possible." (Kenyon)


"The king said that if the Lord said to go down to Zarahemla that they would be willing to be slaves to the Nephites, but Ammon told him that it was against the law for them to have slaves." (Brandon)


"Ammon told the king that the Lord told them to leave because the Amalekites were hard hearted and were going to kill them." (Maycee & Mom

"Another sign of the true conversion of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies was that they were willing to be slaves to the Nephites to try to make restitution for their sins and murders against them, and they were also willing to stay and perish by the hands of the Lamanites if it was the Lord's will for them to stay. They were willing to do whatever the Lord asked them to do no matter how hard the consequences were."  (Dad)

"The Anti-Nephi-Lehies think that the Nephites would want to kill them because of all their sins and murdering." (Jaron)


"The Lord commanded Ammon to lead the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi to safety." (Kenyon)

"The Amalekites and Amulonites were trying to stir up the rest of the Lamanites to attack the Anti-Nephi-Lehies since they refused to fight back.

"Ammon wanted the Anti-Nephi-Lehies to go to the city of Zarahemla so they could be protected and not many of them would be killed." (Shaylee)

"The king of the Anti-Nephi-Lehies thought that people of Zarahemla wanted to kill the them because of their sins and their murders.

"There's no greater love than what the Anti-Nephi-Lehies had because they were willing to bury their weapons and not fight." (Mom)

"Ammon was so filled with joy because of the Lord using them to convert thousands of the Lamanites that he felt that no man since the creation of the world had more reason to rejoice than them. That feeling he felt is what's called a fulness of joy."  (Dad)

"You need to know sorrow before you know joy, and the sons of Mosiah knew a lot of sorrow and a lot of joy." (Maycee & Mom

"Ammon and his brethren set out on their missions thinking that they might save a couple of Lamanite souls but they ended up saving thousands." (Kenyon)

"Ammon and his brethren suffered much affliction when the went to preach to the Lamanites in the land of Nephi." (Shaylee)

"The Lord comforted the sons of Mosiah when they were depressed and wanted to go back home from their mission to the Lamanites by telling them that if they would be patient in their afflictions that they would have success." (Jaron & 
Dad)

"Some Nephites said that they would rather go to war with the Lamanites than preach the gospel to them because they thought it would solve the issues between them quicker." (Brandon)

"God is a very merciful God, and I'm glad that I am a Mormon and know the truth." (Annika)

"Let us glory in the Lord because through Him our joy is full." (Maycee & Mom

"If we make mistakes we can repent." (Jillian & Cindy)

"Seeing the Lamanites being converted and receiving the truth reminded them (the sons of Mosiah) of when the Lord spared them from destruction and converted them too." (Brandon)


"Ammon said that those who exercise their faith by doing good works will know the mysteries of God." (Kenyon)

"One of the reasons Ammon's joy was so full was not only because the Lord saved the Lamanites from destruction who converted but it also reminded him how the Lord had done the same thing for him and his brothers."  (Dad)
