1 Nephi 15:28

Q:  "What separated the wicked from the tree of life?"  (Mom)
A:   "It's a gulf." (Brandon) 



1 Nephi 15:29

Q:  "What is the gulf compared to?"  (Mom)
A:   "Hell." (Brandon) 


1 Nephi 15:30

Q:   What did Nephi say divided the wicked from the righteous? (Dad)
A:   "The justice of God." (Shaylee)


1 Nephi 15:31-32

Q:  What did Nephi say how we will be judged? (Dad)
A:  "The works done in the temporal body." (Elias)  "The works when you were on Earth." (Shaylee)



1 Nephi 15:33-34

Q:   What happens to those who die in wickedness? (Dad)
A:   "They will be cast off." (Shaylee)  "They will be judged by their works on the earth."  (Mom)

Q:   Why can't God let them live with Him anyway? He loves them even though their wicked? (Dad)
A:  "You don't get a reward for being wicked. If you're bad there's going to be consequences." (Shaylee)  "Yes, it would also make God a liar, and He would cease to be God if He doesn't do what He says. But there's also another reason it says in these verses."  (Dad)

Q:   What would happen if God allowed the wicked to live with Him? (Dad)
A:   "The kingdom of God would become filthy." (Shaylee)  "Yes, and no unclean thing can dwell with God."  (Dad)

Q:   But all of us have sinned and have become unclean? So how can we enter the kingdom of God? (Dad)
A:   "Repent." (Shaylee)   "Exactly. Those of us who have faith in Christ, repent and follow Him are forgiven of our sins and made clean through the Atonement. Those who repent and follow the Savior will remain filthy and cannot enter the kingdom of God."  (Dad)
