Q:   Why did the Lord allow the House of Israel to be scattered? Why didn't the Lord protect them from their enemies? (Dad)

A:   "Because they hardened their hearts against the Lord." (Kenyon) 

1 Nephi 22:6  (Mom)

Q:   Who is going to help the scattered Israelites in the last days? (Dad)

A:   "The Gentiles." (Shaylee)  "Yes, the Gentiles first scattered the Israelites when they came to the promised land but would then later take care of and look after them."  (Dad)

1 Nephi 22:7  (Shaylee)

Q:   What is the mighty nation that the Lord would be raised up on this land? (Dad)

A:   "The United States." (Shaylee)  "Yes, the thing that made our nation special and mighty was that it was founded with the Bible as the basis for its laws with the constitution giving us rights and freedoms, especially religious freedom, that rulers could not take away from the people. It was the only nation on the earth ruled by the people and laws instead of a king or ruler. It created an environment where the Lord could restore His gospel and church without it being taken over by a ruler or government. "  (Dad)

Q:   What is this marvelous work that the Lord will do in the latter days among the Gentiles that will be of great worth unto scattered Israel? (Dad)

A:   "The first vision where Joseph Smith and where Joseph Smith translates the Book of Mormon." (Brandon)  "The restoration."  (Mom)

1 Nephi 22:9  (Brandon)

Q:   What will the Lord make known that will be of great worth to the House of Israel? (Dad)

A:   "The covenants of the Father." (Shaylee)  

Q:   Which covenants are we speaking of? Who did they originate with? (Dad)
A:   "Abraham." (Brandon)

Q:   The Lord covenanted with Abraham that his seed would be numerous as the sands of the sea and that they would have what? (Dad)
A:   "The gospel." (Shaylee)  "Exactly. They would have the priesthood and gospel."  (Dad)

Q:   And what is the part of the covenant, the responsibility, that the seed of Abraham has? (Dad)
A:   "Sharing the gospel." (Shaylee)  "Exactly. Our duty is the live the gospel and share it with others. The Lord doesn't want us to keep the blessings of the gospel all to ourselves. He wants everyone to have those blessings and to return to Him."  (Dad)

"So the earth will be blessed again by the Lord showing His strength through restoring His gospel, church and priesthood upon the earth again." (Dad)
