1 Nephi 21:19  (Jaron)

Q:   Where shall be the enemies of the Lord's people at that time? (Dad)
A:   "Be far away." (Jaron)

1 Nephi 21:20  (Maycee)

Q:   What is this verse talking about - those who were lost asking for a place to dwell? What does the footnote 20a say? (Dad)
A:   "Israel, the gathering of. Gathering scattered Israel." (Shaylee)

1 Nephi 21:21  (Shaylee)

Q:   Who is going to bring up and gather scattered Israel? (Dad)
A:   "Jesus." (Shaylee)

Q:   Do think Jesus will come down and gather them Himself or will He send others to do it? (Dad)
A:   "Missionaries." (Shaylee)  "Yes, and the rest of us members too. We all have the responsibility to share the gospel."  (Dad)

1 Nephi 21:22  (Mom)

Q:   What is the standard the Lord will lift up that will gather in scattered and also the Gentiles? If you look at the scriptures in Isaiah mentioned in the footnote it says the standard or ensign shall be lifted up in the mountain when he bloweth the trumpet. Who is blowing a trumpet atop the temples? (Dad)
A:   "Moroni." (Shaylee)  "And what did we get from Moroni?"  (Dad)  "Scriptures." (Shaylee)   "What scriptures in particular do we have because of Moroni?"  (Dad)  "The Book of Mormon." (Shaylee)  "Yes, the ensign or standard is the church, which has the restored gospel and the Book of Mormon is the tool the Lord gave us to convert and bring scattered Israel and Gentiles unto His church."  (Dad)

1 Nephi 21:23  (Dad)

Q:   This verse says that even prominent people and leaders, including kings and queens will look up to us. What does the Lord say about those who wait for Him? (Dad)
A:   "For they shall not be ashamed that wait for me." (Shaylee)  "Yes, those who will endure the mocking and persecutions of the world and not be ashamed of the Lord and His gospel will be the ones who endure to the end and will be waiting for the Lord. Those who choose to be ashamed of the Lord and His gospel will let go of the iron rod and join those in the large and spacious building or wander off the path and get lost. The key is not to care about what the world thinks of us but rather what the Lord thinks of us and trying to please Him instead of the world."  (Dad)
