Q:   Has the Lord kept His words and secret from His people? (Dad)
A:   "No." (Shaylee)  "Correct. He has revealed them from the beginning. He's not trying to make it difficult for us to find our way back to Him like going through a labyrinth. He makes it clear and simple what we need to do - the path is straight and narrow. That doesn't mean it's always easy to follow but the way is simple and clear."  (Dad)

1 Nephi 20:17  (Dad)

Q:   What does the Lord try to do for us? (Dad)
A:   "He teaches them to profit." (Shaylee)  "Leadeth them the way that they should go." (Brandon)  "Yes, the Lord wants to profit or bless us and lead us back to Him. However, He will not force us to. It's up to us to choose to follow Him and receive the blessings He wants to give us and be led by Him."  (Dad)

1 Nephi 20:18  (Jaron)

Q:   What does the Lord say we will have if we hearken to His commandments? (Dad)
A:   "Righteousness as the waves of the sea." (Jaron)  "Peace as a river." (Shaylee)  "Yes, the water in the waves of the sea and a river continually flows. It's consistent and that's what our peace and righteousness will be if we hear and obey the Lord's commandments. It won't be a one-time or sporadic occurrence unless our that's how often we hearken unto the Lord. If we are consistent in hearkening unto the Lord so will our peace and righteousness."  (Dad)

1 Nephi 20:19  (Brandon)

Q:   What does it mean that the righteous seed should be as the sand? (Dad)
A:   "Seed is another way of saying descendants, and it means they'll grow exponentially and there will be tons like the amount of sand on a beach." (Brandon)   "There's lots of grains of sand and his seed is very large." (Shaylee)

Q:   What does it mean to go forth from Babylon? What does Babylon represent? (Dad)
A:   "A city. A wicked city." (Kenyon)  "Don't follow Satan. Be righteous." (Shaylee)  "Yes, it's to abstain from the unholy things of the world."  (Dad)

Q:   This is talking about the Israelites who were led out of Egypt. How did they get water out in the desert? (Dad)
A:   "They got it from a rock that Moses smote." (Shaylee)

Q:   Despite all the Lord has done for His people what can He not give them if they are wicked? (Dad)
A:   "Peace." (Shaylee)
