1 Nephi 11:20-21
Q:  Why do you think that the Spirit asked Nephi if he knew the meaning of the Tree of Life after he saw Mary with baby Jesus? (Dad)
A:  "Because the Tree of Life represented Jesus." (Shaylee)



1 Nephi 11:22

Q:  So what did Nephi said the Tree of Life represented? (Dad)
A:  "The love of God."  (Kenyon)  "I thought it represented Jesus. Is Nephi wrong?"  (Dad)  "Both."  (Kenyon)   "Yes, it represents the Savior and His atonement, which Heavenly Father and Jesus provided to us because of Their love for us."  (Dad)  

Q:  How else did the Spirit describe the tree or its fruit? (Dad)
A:  "It is the most desirable of all things." (Shaylee)


1 Nephi 11:23

Q:  "So the Spirit said that the atonement of Christ is not only the most desirable thing but also what else? (Dad)
A:  "The most joyous to the soul."  (Mom)



1 Nephi 11:24

Q:  What did Nephi see when the Spirit told him to look again? (Dad)
A:  "He saw Jesus going out into the people, and the people were worshiping Him." (Brandon)  "Yes, so Nephi first saw Jesus as a baby but then his vision skipped straight to His ministry as an adult among the people." (Dad)



1 Nephi 11:25

Q:  What did Nephi say was the interpretation of the iron rod? (Dad)
A:  "The rod of iron represents the word of God." (Shaylee)

Q:  What does the fountain of living waters represent? (Dad)
A:  "The love of God." (Shaylee)


Q:  What does does he say the Tree of Life represent? (Dad)
A:   "The same thing as the living waters - the love of God - which is why it says the iron rod leads to the living waters OR the Tree of Life." (Brandon)
