A:  "He was angry, and he would not give him the records." (Shaylee)  "Laban called him a robber and said that he would kill him if he didn't leave." (Brandon)

Q:  What did Laman and Lemuel want to do once Laman came and reported what happened? (Dad)
A:  "They wanted to flee back into the wilderness back where their father was." (Brandon) 

1 Nephi 3:15

Q:  What was Nephi's response to Laman and Lemuel's plan to return to their father without the plates of brass? (Dad)
A:  "He said that the Lord doesn't give commandments that they can't complete. So they should keep trying."  (Kenyon)

Q:  What can we learn from this about accomplishing things the Lords wants us to do or answering our prayers? (Dad)
A:  "You keep on going, and you don't give up. You have perseverance and don't quit." (Shaylee)  "Yes, often our prayers aren't answered or we aren't able to accomplish what we set out to do on the first time. The Lord is testing our faith to see if we will give up or exercise faith and keep trying like Nephi did." (Dad)

1 Nephi 3:16

Q:  Nephi said that they should return to Jerusalem and reminded them that all of their gold and silver was still there. Why didn't they take it with them from the beginning? (Dad)
A:  "They were commanded not to." (Mom)  "Maybe the Lord was seeing that if they leave their stuff behind whether they would do or not." (Shaylee) 

1 Nephi 3:17-18

Q:  Why did the Lord command Lehi that they must leave Jerusalem? (Dad)
A:   "Because He was going to destroy it because they were wicked." (Shaylee) 

Q:  What would have happened to Lehi and his family had they stayed? (Dad)
A:   "They would have been destroyed." (Shaylee & Mom)  "So what they thought was a trial having to leave their home and belongings behind was a blessing. So it is in our lives that when the Lord asks us to do something hard it is because it will bless us, and we will be much better off for it."  (Dad)
