Q:   What did Jacob want to teach them about? (Dad)
A:   "Holiness." (Brandon)

Q:   What did he end up teaching them about? (Dad)
A:   "The consequences of sin." (Brandon)

Q:   Why didn't Jacob teach them about holiness, which is what he wanted to? (Dad)
A:   "Because they were not holy so the topic was more relevant to the situation they were in." (Brandon)

Q:   What does Jacob delight in? (Dad)
A:   "Righteousness." (Kenyon

Q:   What's the good news about the great blessings that come from being holy and righteous? (Dad)
A:   "The holier you are the more blessings you get." (Brandon) "Yes, and unlike the finest temporal things of this earth, which are enjoyed by those with the most money, the greatest blessings of eternity are available to us for free. The poorest man on earth can have all that the Father hath if he is holy and righteous." (Dad)

Q:   What can we feast upon that will not go bad? (Dad)
A:   "The word of God."  (Mom)

Q:   Because of the Lord's covenants what promise did He give Lehi's family? (Dad)
A:   "Their seed won't be utterly destroyed, and they shall become a righteous branch in the House of Israel." (Brandon)


2 Nephi 9:54  (Jaron)

Q:   Why didn't Jacob finish telling them everything he wanted to say? (Dad)
A:   "People get bored." (Kenyon)  "Yes, and after a long time they get hungry and tired and need to go to the bathroom so he knew that they wouldn't get as much from his message if he continued so he told them to go home and think about about what he taught them and come back rested and refreshed the next day so they would be ready to receive the rest of his counsel. The Savior did the same thing when He visited the Nephites after His resurrection." (Dad)
