Q: What does this verse mean about having an uncircumcised heart? (Dad)
A: "I think that it means you can't just go through the motions and check off boxes. You need to have your heart in it." (Kristi) "That's true. Many of the Jews at the time of Christ's ministry were focused on checking off boxes under the law of Moses even down to how many steps you can take on the Sabbath day. But the Lord taught that we need to live according to the Spirit of the law. It's not enough to just not murder but He said that we shouldn't even hate. Likewise He said it's not enough to not commit adultery or fornication but that we shouldn't even lust. Circumcision is a token or reminder of the covenant God made with Abraham and when we circumcise our heart we cut away the unclean desires and sins from our life. So to have an uncircumcised heart is to not cut away those unclean things in our lives and thus the knowledge of our iniquities will condemn us at the judgement bar of God if we haven't repented and had a change of heart." (Dad)

2 Nephi 9:34 (Dad)
Q: So will there be dishonest people in the Celestial kingdom? (Dad)
A: "No" (Shaylee) "That doesn't mean that we can't have ever been dishonest." (Kristi) "Yes, none of us are perfect, but it's talking about people who are continually dishonest who don't try to repent. It's like in the recent General Conference talk where they said that the Lord looks upon rebellion different than He does weakness. If we recognize we've sinned and fallen short and feel bad and repent then the Lord shows mercy to us. But if we have a rebellious heart and try to justify our sins and find fault with the Lord's servants instead of repenting then we won't be going to the Celestial kingdom." (Dad)

Q: What's the key point here? (Dad)
A: "It's deliberately killing or murder, which is a lot different and worse than accidentally killing someone, manslaughter, or do it to defend yourself or your country from aggression." (Dad)
