3 Nephi 13:1-15 (8/5/18)

Scripture study participants:  Dad, Mom, Brandon, Kenyon, Shaylee, Jaron & Maycee
Hymn:  A Child's Prayer
Prayer: Maycee

What we learned...
"We should give to the poor but do it in private." (Maycee & Mom)

"Try to give the glory of helping people to God so they can appreciate God." (Shaylee)

"Do service in secret so they can thank God instead of us." (Jaron)

"We need to be forgiving of others to be forgiven by the Lord." (Brandon)

"Holding grudges hurts ourselves more than anyone." (Kenyon)

"When we pray we can ask for what we want, unless we know that what we're asking is not right, but we should always ask that the Lord's will be done and not be upset if we don't get what we asked for. Jesus set the example in the Garden of Gethsemane when He asked if it were possible to remove the bitter cup that He did not need to finish drinking from it to finish the Atonement but added 'nevertheless, thy will be done' and it was Heavenly Father's will for Him to finish the Atonement, which He did and did not complain about it." (Dad)
