Hymn: Tell Me the Stories of Jesus
Prayer: Mom
Alma 30:16-22
What we learned...
"Korihor's preaching eventually led to the hearts of many people to be turned away and commit many whoredoms and sins." (Brandon)
"Korihor went to the land of Jershon to preach to the people of Ammon but they didn't want to hear him so they kicked him out." (Kenyon)
"The people of Ammon did not want Korihor in their midst so they asked him to leave." (Maycee & Mom)
"When Korihor tried to preach to the people of Ammon who lived in Jershon they tied him up, brought him to Ammon and then kicked him out of the city." (Shaylee)
"Korihor tried to preach to the people of Jershon but they tied him up and kicked him out." (Jaron)
"Mormon wrote that the people of Jershon were more wise than the Nephites who were led astray by Korihor because they did not entertain Korihor's false teachings but kicked him out of their city. People have the right to believe what they want, and they also have the right to share what they believe, but they don't have the right to force people into listening to what they are preaching, just like we can't force people to hear the gospel. They have to choose to learn about it. So we would be wise to be like the people of Ammon and say we're not interested when people are trying to lead us astray with false doctrine." (Dad)
