Hymn: Nearer, My God, To Thee
Prayer: Shaylee
Mormon 1:5-10
What we learned...
"There were a lot of buildings in Zarahemla because there were a lot of people." (Shaylee)
"There were lots of people." (Jaron)
"Mormon was eleven when his father brought him to the land of Zarahemla." (Maycee)
"The peace finally ended between the Nephites and Lamanites, and war began again." (Kenyon)
"Mormon was a descendant of Nephi and remembered the things Ammaron told him to do." (Mom)
"The people split into two parties or tribes - the Nephites and Lamanites - just like their descendants even though they grew up as one people in Christ without and distinctions. This is because they became proud and focused on their differences so that they could consider themselves better than those who weren't like them. This is contrary to God's will. He wants us to be one like He, Jesus and the Holy Ghost are one." (Dad)
