Hymn: Families Can Be Together Forever
Prayer: Shaylee
Helaman 16:15-21
What we learned...
"The wicked kept making excuses for the signs that Samuel prophesied of." (Shaylee)
"The wicked Nephites are saying that they know all these marvelous works cannot come to pass." (Maycee & Mom)
"Even though they saw the signs they still didn't believe." (Jaron)
"Those who are wicked will ask for proof but no matter how many signs many of the wicked will deny it or account it to chance." (Brandon)
"The wicked Nephites were saying that if God came down to visit Jerusalem then why didn't he come down to visit them." (Kenyon)
"The wicked Nephites claimed that the prophesies of Samuel and the other prophets came to pass due to the power of the devil, which is the same thing they said about the Savior's miracles and also Joseph Smith and other prophets. They also said that the prophets wanted to keep them down to be servants to their words and unto them, but the Lord's prophets have never had the people serve them. It's the other way around. And to be a servant to their words means to give up their sins and keep the commandments of God. So basically they're complaining that they're being told that their lifestyle and choices are contrary to God's commandments and to repent. The wicked don't want to hear that but to be told that they can do whatever they want to, and it will be fine. (Dad)
