"While the Nephites were building up their fortifications they had guards guarding the builders." (Kenyon)

"The righteous did not just pray to the Lord for protection and strength but also did all they could by gathering together and building fortifications around them. The point is that we shouldn't ask the Lord for His help and blessings and expect Him to do everything but that we need to do everything we can when asking for His help.
