Hymn: Baptism
Prayer: Dad
Alma 14:16-22
What we learned...
"The people that said they would believe were burned." (Maycee)
"They (Alma & Amulek) got thrown into prison." (Jaron)
"The people with the same mindset of Nehor came into the prison to question Alma and Amulek but they answered them nothing." (Brandon)
"Amulek and Alma wouldn't answer when the chief judge asked them questions so the priests and people started to torture them." (Kenyon)
"Amulek and Alma were thrown into prison, and they were stripped of their clothing and received no food or drink." (Shaylee)
"It's a much stronger person who is humble than is prideful. It's much harder to be humble." (Mom)
"Alma and Amulek suffered great persecution because they were faithful and obedient to the Lord's commandments, which shows that being righteous doesn't mean that everything will be easy and wonderful in our lives but the Lord will be with us and glorify us when we suffer for His sake. Those spiritual blessings are much greater than any worldly blessings so they are still being blessed for keeping the Lord's commandments but just not in the way that most people would expect to be blessed." (Dad)
