What we learned...
"The priests of Noah were stealing from the Nephites to support themselves." (Kenyon)
"The people of Limhi and the Lamanites went to war many times and the people of Limhi lost every time because the Lord was not on their side." (Shaylee)
"Eventually the people of Limhi came to terms of peace with the Lamanites, which is when Ammon and his brethren found them." (Brandon)
"The Lamanites and Nephites went to war many times." (Jaron)
"King Limhi didn't want to go out because he was afraid that the Lamanites would kill him." (Maycee & Shaylee)
"We should only go to war to defend ourselves, unless the Lord says otherwise, and not be the instigator. And we need to be humble." (Mom)
"The people of Limhi suffered greatly because they reacted in anger to go to war against the Lamanites. Making decisions out of anger always leads to bad consequences since we're following the promptings of the devil instead of the Spirit. And even though the people of Limhi eventually repented they still suffered greatly from the consequences of their sins and iniquities. The same applies to us. Just because the Lord will forgive us doesn't mean that the consequences of our sins and bad choices will go away because most of them will not. So you can either learn the easy way by not sinning and following the Lord's promptings to begin with or you can learn the hard way by following the devil's way and learn the hard way from great suffering." (Dad)
