Q:   What did Nephi say the Lord would do with the Nephites? (Dad)
A:   "He will appear unto his people and heal them." (Shaylee)



2 Nephi 26:10  (Brandon)

Q:   What did he say would later cause their destruction? (Dad)
A:   "Because they yield unto the devil." (Brandon)  "Yes, but it started off with pride and foolishness. When they prospered they forgot the Lord and gave themselves the credit for all their blessings. Pride proceeds the fall."  (Dad)

Q:   What happens soon before a people or nation are destroyed? (Dad)
A:   "The Spirit leaves them."  (Mom)  "Yes, but the Lord tried many times to get them to repent. He sends them prophets and uses the Spirit to try and persuade them to repent. But there comes a time after the Lord has tried so many times and the people continually reject His attempts and become hardened in sin that they are past feeling and ripened in iniquity. This is when the Spirit ceaseth to strive with them and then comes their destruction."  (Dad)
