QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
2 Nephi 19:6 (Shaylee)
Q: Who is Isaiah prophesying about? (Dad)
A: "Jesus." (Brandon) "Yes, this verse is used as the lyrics to a song in Handel's Messiah." (Dad)
Q: What does it mean that the government will be upon His shoulders? (Dad)
A: "That He is the king." (Brandon) "This means that He will be the king or ruler of the earth. This is why many of the Jews did not consider Him as the Savior because they were looking to Jehovah coming down to conquer Rome and rule the government on earth. The big difference is the timing of the prophesy. He will come and be the king and rule over the earth after His second coming during the millennium. In His first coming He delivered us spiritually, and in His second coming He will deliver us physically. He did set up His kingdom and church government upon the earth in His first coming." (Dad)

Q: What important lesson is in this verse for those who have gone astray? (Dad)
A: "The Lord gives us tons of chances to repent, to change. It's never too late to change." (Brandon) "Yes, His arms are stretched out to all trying to get them to repent and return to Him. Like Brandon said He gives us many chances and it's never too late to repent and turn to Him. However, when we die our probationary period here on earth has ended so we shouldn't procrastinate repenting because we never know when we will die, and we also are missing out on many blessings and also blessing others while we are off the Lord's path." (Dad)
