Hymn:
Prayer: Kenyon
Mormon 3:9-15
What we learned...
"The attempt to humble the Nephites only made them more proud." (Kenyon)
"The Nephites won the battle against the Lamanites and they began to boast in their strength." (Jaron)
"Once they were saying that vengeance was theirs for killing their brethren that was the breaking point for the Lord for vengeance is His to give not theirs." (Shaylee)
"Mormon delivered the Nephite army three times out of the hands of their enemies, and they repented not of their sins." (Maycee)
"It's not our job to exact revenge and make judgements on people. It's the Lord's job." (Brandon)
"Because of the Nephites' wickedness Mormon said that he would not be their commander any more." (Mom)
"The Nephite army swore by the heavens and the throne of God, which is forbidden in the scriptures to do for anything, that they would go up against their enemies and wipe them off the face of the land. This is the point where the voice of the Lord came unto Mormon saying that vengeance was His to give and because the Nephites refused to repent after He delivered them that they would be wiped off from the land. The Nephites had reached the point of no return where they were so hard hearted and ripened in iniquity that nothing could cause they to repent and return unto the Lord." (Dad)
