Hymn:
Prayer: Brandon
Helaman 13:14-27
What we learned...
"It's not bad to be rich but if you put riches over the Lord then it is bad." (Brandon)
"Samuel says the Nephites are worse than the Lamanites because the prophet comes and declares the word of the Lord and talks about your sins and iniquities and ye say that he is a false prophet and try to destroy him." (Maycee & Mom)
"The Lord hadn't destroyed Zarahemla yet because there's still righteous people in Zarahemla." (Jaron)
"Samuel said that the only reason that Zarahemla hadn't been destroyed is because they're still righteous people in there." (Shaylee)
"The Nephites would only accept prophets that would tell them that they could do no wrong." (Kenyon)
"An unrighteous people will reject true prophets of God because they tell the people of their sins and admonishes them to repent, which they don't want to do. They will accept and lift those who preach to them to follow the natural man and do whatever they want to do. So don't expect to the prophet to be popular and accepted in a wicked world but expect him to be mocked, hated and persecuted instead." (Dad)
