Hymn: Joy To The World
Prayer: Jaron
Alma 54:20-24, 55:1-4
What we learned...
"Ammoron gave Moroni an epistle, and an epistle is a note." (Maycee)
"Ammoron was glad to exchange prisoners with Moroni.." (Jaron)
"Moroni did not accept the deal because he did not want to give Ammoron what he wanted." (Brandon)
"Ammoron and Moroni were having a conversation through an epistle, which is another word for a letter." (Shaylee)
"Moroni said that he would beat down the Lamanites so hard that they would beg for mercy." (Kenyon)
"Moroni is coming up with a plan to get their families without giving up the prisoners." (Mom)
"Ammoron said that if there was a hell that the Nephites would go there too because they murdered his brother. This is an example of moral relativism where he's trying to change the definition of what's moral and equating the Nephites' killing with the Lamanites' killing. But the Lord will not judge the two as the same because of the motivation behind why each killed. The reason the Nephites killed the Lamanites was in self defense whereas the Lamanites started an unjust war to enslave the Nephites." (Dad)
