Hymn: Gethsemane
Prayer: Maycee
Alma 36:16-21
What we learned...
"Alma the younger remembered the atonement." (Maycee)
"When Alma thought about the Atonement of Christ and prayed for Jesus's help he remembered his pains no more." (Jaron)
"Because Alma figured out that he wasn't going to be dead forever he was filled with as much joy as he was pain earlier." (Shaylee)
"Alma said to his son that when he went through this he was both pained and joyed." (Kenyon)
"It shows what happened to Alma the younger that anyone can have a change of heart because he was wicked and not a good person but he changed and had righteous desires. So someone who is wicked can become righteous." (Mom)
"In order to experience joy we must also experience sorrow. That doesn't mean that we should be wicked because we will experience sorrow in this life no matter what, and by being wicked we will bring more sorrow upon ourselves and others. Jesus experienced the most sorrow of us all, and He was perfect. But the good news is that we all can be saved from our sins and iniquities if we will use the atonement in our lives like Alma did."
