Q:   When did Nephi say we should pray? (Dad)
A:   "Always. And you should pray in the name of Christ." (Shaylee"Yes, we should pray in ALL things, not just in spiritual matters."  (Dad)

Q:   Why? Why do we pray before we read the scriptures? (Dad)
A:   "Because we need to bless that we'll be reverent and have the Spirit." (Shaylee)  "So we can have the Holy Ghost as we read the scriptures." (Kenyon)  "Exactly! So we have the Spirit to consecrate or bless our efforts, whatever they may be. It can be for understanding the scriptures as we read them but it can also be to play our best in a sports event or prepare for a test in school and remember the things we study when we take the test. Again we should ask for the Lord's help in ALL things."  (Dad)
