Q:   How does the Lord speak to us? (Dad)
A:   "Plainly."  (Mom)  "According to their language and understanding." (Brandon)  "Yes, because He wants us to understand His word and know the way. He's not trying to trick us or make it difficult for us to find our way back to Him."  (Dad)



2 Nephi 31:4  (Brandon)

Q:   Which prophet is Nephi talking about in this verse who he saw? (Dad)
A:   "John the Baptist."  (Mom)

Q:   How do we know that? (Dad)
A:   "Because he baptized the lamb of God." (Brandon)



2 Nephi 31:5  (Kenyon)

Q:   Did Jesus need to be baptized for the remission of sins? (Dad)
A:   "No." (Kenyon


Q:   Then why did He get baptized? (Dad)
A:   "As an example." (Kenyon)  "To show that He would be obedient to Heavenly Father's commandments."  (Mom)  "Yes, and to fulfill all righteousness."  (Dad)

Q:   How did Heavenly Father show that the Holy Ghost came upon Jesus after He was baptized? (Dad)
A:   "He descended in the form of a dove." (Shaylee)  "Yes, but the dove was a sign that the Holy Ghost descended upon Jesus. The Holy Ghost did not literally become a dove."  (Dad)

Q:   Jesus getting baptized showed us what? (Dad)
A:   "The straightness of path and the narrowness of the way."  (Mom)

Q:   What is baptism on the straight and narrow path? Is it the end, beginning or middle? (Dad)
A:   "Beginning." (Brandon)  "It's the gate in the middle." (Kenyon"Actually, together you're right. It's the gate at the beginning of the path."  (Dad)
