"Amulon taught the Lamanites the language of the Nephites and also how to keep records." (Mom)

"Amulon knew Alma well since they were both priests of King Noah. Amulon hated Alma for repenting and turning against them so he persecuted the people of Alma and taught their children to hate and persecute the children of the people of Alma. So we see that hatred and bigotry is something taught and passed down from one generation to another. Children aren't born hating other people. We need to ensure we don't pass along hatred and bigotry towards anyone to others, especially our children. As disciples of Jesus Christ we need to live the second greatest commandment by loving others as ourselves, even those who hate and persecute us, just as the Savior did. It's not easy but it will help to transform us to become more like Christ as we do so."  (Dad)
